Everafter's Red

I don't know why, but I was just struck with the urge to draw some 'Everafter' fan art. I find that if I don't go with my artistic impulses, I won't draw anything during my free time willingly. I'm sure it's the same with a lot of artists.

In case you aren't familiar with who she is, this is Red (as in Red Riding Hood) of 's webcomic 'Everafter'. [link] It's a dark twist on the world of fairy tale characters. (If you like McGee's 'Alice', this will probably be right up your alley.) She's one of many kids locked up in some kind of asylum/institute, including Hansel & Gretel, Miss Muffet, Rosie & Posie, Goldilocks, and others. It's a good series, so check it out as well as Endling's stuff here on dA.

Endling's Red makes three Red Riding Hood characters I've done so far. The first one, 'Red' [link] , was something more of my own design with some influence from the anime/manga Hellsing's Alucard. The second, 'Red: 40 Whacks' [link] (including the second, monochromatic version, 'Red: 40 Whacks v.2' [link] ), was basically an improvement upon the first with some influence from 's Red from her webcomic 'No Rest For The Wicked' [link] . (It's another series that I definitely recommend.) But this third one, by far, has got to be the best of the bunch.
