Sometimes I get into a rut, which shows when I haven't submitted art in a while. Anywho, after seeing =romeo-casually's take on Vicki Wollstonecraft, which is awesome, by the way, I remembered this older drawing of character sketches I had been playing around with for Salad Days. So instead of just letting it collect dust, I figured I'd share it with you guys. Oh, and just to clarify, the names that are underlined are ones I was kicking around, whereas the ones in all capitals are what kind of creature they are.

*loves apples
*a country boy, grew up helping tend a family apple orchard
*think "hobbit" as far as how he looks
*likes to give apples to the teachers, which gives him the unintentional reputation of being a brown-noser when he really isn't
*gets some teasing for his freckles
*Ruthie & Roger get along since they're both friendly, generally happy people who share a common interest in the color red
