Uniques' Virtue by silentsketcher Uniques' Virtue by silentsketcher
This is Virtue, a superhero created by :iconadamwithers: & :iconcomfortlove: who belongs to "the Uniques". Virtue is rather different from the other Uniques in that he's the first to don a costume and be a hero. He's a golden oldie, kind of like Captain America, both of whom fought in World War II and are much younger physically than their actual age (though for different reasons). Adam put it best by describing Virtue as "what Superman would be like if he'd landed not in a rural farming community, but in a blue-collar shop town". Plan on seeing more Uniques drawings in the future. These will be part of a sketchbook done by Adam and Comfort.

Here's an example of Virtue by Adam: [link]

Thanks! :D You got to wonder how characters like him initially discover they're bulletproof. Maybe playing Russian roulette? o.o? *BANG!* "...Well, that was unexpected..."

Np. Haha true dat. S'not like they go around testing guns on people for bulletproofness. Unless said superhero was a genocide victim...O_O;;

I don't think so, but I like the idea. Very dark.

I got the picture reflection thing - that was a particularly nice touch. I like the surrounding influences and how they reflect on the main image. I agree with Comf that he's a little lean - to be honest, my favorite shot of him in the piece is the one with the logo. But you're definitely getting the character of the guy, which is much more important.

Yeah, I thought that it would be good to include some different elements of his background. I actually had a bit of fun doing the "Rosie the Riveter" poster sketch. As soon as I read in the profile that his mother was part of the war effort work force, I knew I had to sketch that.

I agree, I did make him a little lean. I guess I was more concerned with getting the face/head right that I didn't think to bulk his figure up. But I'm glad you like it all the same.

Oooo...way nice. He could be a bit broader, but he's awesome. And the picture with the clouds reminds me a lot of George Washington. Good work all around and I like the picture of his wife and kid in the frame.
