Here's the main illustration that I did for the editorial "What Is the Latest Thing to Be Discouraged About? The Rise of Pessimism" for my college class. The previous two were spot illustrations, this being the central. As you can see, the Pessimist is sitting on top of the world reading a newspaper of all the bad events going on. Unfortunately, it was too large to scan in all together so I had to scan it by halves and piece it together in Photoshop. I couldn't get rid of the line, which is the only real indication of that. But other than that, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. Like the other two, this was done in Prisma color pencils and watercolors.
very cool! I was reading the titles of the articles and I think you thought of everything that;s going on right now! Great job, I like the world and the expression on the guys face too, kinda blank.
It's great, I think I like this one even more than the other two. You sure are skilled with the traditional media. Also, "The Bad Times" is a really clever pun.
